Delano School Board adopts criteria for COVID response

DELANO, MN – On a 5-1 vote, with Board Member Rachel Depa opposed and Board Member Corey Black absent, the Delano School Board approved criteria for when the district would require face coverings in individual buildings.

The school-level indicator will be the percent of students and staff who test positive for COVID-19 during a seven-day period, and the percentage of students and staff who display one of the more common COVID symptoms or two of the less common COVID symptoms. Those displaying possible COVID symptoms will not be counted in the transmission numbers until health office personnel can rule out chronic allergies and other illnesses via family interview, alternative diagnosis, free family-option testing, etc.
