BUFFALO, MN – Due to road and bridge projects being funded and completed ahead of schedule in 2020, the Wright County budget will drop at least $8.2 million in 2021, from $162,044,385 to no more than $153,827,373. That follows action by the Wright County Board of Commissioners to set the preliminary 2021 budget and levy Tuesday. Once the preliminary numbers are approved, they cannot be increased.
While the budget is decreasing, the levy – the amount paid by home and landowners – is set to increase about 4.8 percent from $78,582,512 to $82,381,407, not including lake improvement districts.
