WRIGHT COUNTY, MN  –  Three 2009 dairy princesses were crowned at the Wright County American Dairy Association banquet Saturday, March 28.

Krista Nelson, daughter of Mike and Sue Nelson of Cokato, Kelsey Kolles, daughter of Mark and JoAnn Kolles of Ostego, and Jillian Koch, daughter of Jeff and Janell Koch of Winsted, were crowned at the banquet, which was held at Zion Lutheran Church in Buffalo.

The 2008 dairy princesses were Kristine Berning of St. Michael, Bridget Boehlke of Waverly, and Kelsey Kolles.

The Silver Butterknife Award went to the Peppermint Twist drive-in restaurant in Delano and the Five Star Cinema in Buffalo. The award is given to businesses for their use of real dairy products.

Flowers were donated by Munson Lakes Nutrition, and jewelry was donated by Wright-Hennepin Coop Electric.

Charles Krause, of rural Buffalo, was the master of ceremonies for the event.
