Ever wonder who your state or federal officials are? Check out this “District Finder,” which is offered through the State of Minnesota. Simply type in your home address and it will immediately find your state senator, state representative, Congress official and of course, US senators, with corresponding links.
For local issues that are on a county, city, township or school board level, check out the Election Officials listing offered by the newspaper online. This includes e-mails and phone numbers of respective officials.
Keep in mind when you communicate your opinions, that state business should be discussed with state officials, and larger, federal issues should be communicated to Congress officials and US senators. For example, health care reform should be directed to federal officials. Of course, local issues should be communicated with local officials (for example, a concern in the City of Howard Lake would be directed to those listed for that city).
