WRIGHT COUNTY, MN – Freedomfarm in Waverly is celebrating 10 years of providing therapeutic riding lessons, and is currently seeking volunteers.
The program helps children and adults with special needs. Volunteers are needed as sidewalkers and horse leaders. Sidewalkers walk on either side of the rider assuring their safety.
Volunteers generally commit to one hour a week. They must be at least 14 years of age and able to walk for 45 minutes at a time. No experience is necessary. Two-hour required training sessions will take place between Monday, March 15 and Thursday, March 25.
