Two from Buffalo die in Highway 12 bypass crash Monday night

Two people from Buffalo  died in a head-on traffic accident Monday night in Long Lake on the Highway 12 bypass near Brown Road just after 8 p.m.
Bruce J. Harris, 57, and Arlana H. Harris, 57, both of Buffalo, were traveling westbound on Highway 12 in a 2010 Ford Focus when it crossed the center line and hit a 2000 Dodge Dakota being driven by Terrance L. Alexander, 54, of Maple Plain, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Bruce Harris was driving the Ford Focus.
Bruce and Arlana Harris died as a result of the crash, and Alexander was listed in critical condition at North Memorial Hospital in Robbinsdale as of Tuesday afternoon.
Assisting the state patrol at the scene of the crash were the Hennepin County Sheriff’s Office, and the Orono and Wayzata police departments. The Highway 12 bypass was shut down while authorities investigated the crash.
