Tickets are available for the 2010 Delano Citizen of the Year banquet honoring Steve Gilmer at the Delano American Legion Saturday, April 10.
The General Federated Women’s Club of Delano is  hosting the event that will recognize and honor a citizen from the surrounding area of Delano for the 33rd year. The theme of this year’s banquet is Spirit of Community.
Steve Gilmer will be honored for all the organizations he has been involved in and all the years of volunteer work he has done. He has lived in Delano all of his life, and has enjoyed working for the betterment of the community.
Tickets for the banquet are available at Downtown Beauty Salon located in Delano, during regular business hours; or from any GFWC member – Lisa Blodgett, Chris Brazelton, Alice Fink, Mary Grotz, Jennifer Halverson, Kay James, Bernice Kittock, Donna Laidlaw, Lucille Ludescher, Ann Lundsten, Marlene Muckenhirn, Margaret Parsons, Jeanie Pilarski, Mary Robinson, Pat Sawatzke, Lorraine Statema, Mary Thies, Dorothy Tulkki, Judy Vanderlinde, and Norma Wandersee.
The GFWC encourages anyone interested in attending the banquet to purchase tickets as soon as possible.
