MONTROSE, MN – The cause of a Sunday afternoon garage fire in Montrose that sent a firefighter to the hospital remains under investigation.
According to the Montrose Fire Department, firefighters were called to a fire on Center Avenue North at 4:17 p.m.
Upon arrival, firefighters found a detached garage on fire with heavy fire and smoke on the back side of the structure.
Firefighters deemed the fire to be under control at 4:43 p.m.
One firefighter was transported to a local hospital for exhaustion and dehydration.
Delano Fire Department, Waverly Fire Department, Wright County Sheriff’s Office, Ridgeview Ambulance, and the Wright County Fire Investigation Team assisted at the scene.
