WRIGHT COUNTY, MN – The City of Independence  and the Wright Hennepin Clean Water Resource Association will be hosting a Resource Fair Thursday, Sept. 17, where all of the available lakeshore resources will be featured in one place. Although the main theme is “clean water” all products connected to water are available.
The hours are from 1 p.m. until 8 p.m.
There will be food available, so bring the family for a night out and visit with the many vendors/agencies available for education and information.
Although anyone can attend, the event is geared towards western Hennepin and Wright county shore line owners, including Lake Minnetonka, Long Lake, Independence, Sarah, Medicine and lakes in Wright County.
The Wright Hennepin Clean Water Resource Association was formed to be a central source of information for lake associations and lake shore property owners by gathering information on clean water resources, lake associations, vendors and agencies, and holding Clean Water Resource Fairs for education and seminars.
If you own lakeshore property or are concerned about our lakes and streams, and want to know what is available to help make them a better place to enjoy, then you should come to the Fair.
Although we are looking for more vendors. The list of vendors planning to attend is increasing and includes companies in the following categories: weed control, lake shore restoration, lake publications, phosphorous free products, watershed management commissions, weed removal, rain gardens, shoreline plants, lake associations, manure management, boat ramp surveillance, and recycled furniture.
Lake associations
There will also be room for 10 lake associations, to take applications for new members and to be able to converse with other lake association officials.  There are five signed up to-date.
