CARVER COUNTY, MN – Carver County Sheriff Jim Olson announced that at 2:49 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 18, the Carver County Sheriff’s Office and the Hamburg Fire Department responded to a report of an emergency plan landing in a plowed farm field near the address of 13635 County Road 31 in Hamburg/Young America Township.
According to Olson, the pilot and only occupant of the plane was a 42 year old woman from Minneapolis. The pilot made an emergency landing in a plowed field after losing power to the aircraft’s instrument panel. The pilot safely landed the aircraft without damage to the aircraft or injury to the pilot.
The aircraft was inspected by a representative from the FAA, and released to the owner.
