DELANO, MN - Delano City Council will meet in special session and regular session tonight at Delano City Hall. At the 5:30 p.m. work session, the council will interview and appoint commission applicants, and also review the utility connection for the new concession stand at Central Park. At its regular meeting at 7 p.m., the council will appoint its official newspaper for the year, consider a rate increase for city engineer services, consider the authorization of soliciting for bids for the official depository of city funds, discuss a tree diversification grant from the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, and preview the city’s new website. Adam Patnode, age 19, of Corcoran, MN died accidently on Saturday, January 14, 2012.
He was born in Robbinsdale, MN on January 23, 1992 the son of Dan and Cindy (Aeshliman) Patnode.
Adam loved the outdoors, snowmobiling and spending time with friends and family.
He is survived by his parents Dan and Cindy, siblings Nick, Noah and Amy. Grandparents John and Mona Aeshliman , Jim and Bev Patnode, aunts and uncles: Gary Patnode, Daryl (Lori) Patnode, Mona (Peter) Kurtz ,Loren (Vickie) Patnode, Donna Jacobs, Brian (Christina) Patnode, Karen (Dick) Jordan, Sheree (Rod) Blue, Larry (Terasa) Aeshliman, Sandra Jordan, Jim (Simone) Aeshliman, Bill Aeshliman, Ken (Jennifer) Aeshliman, many cousins, relatives and friends.
Mass of Christian Burial for Adam Patnode will be on Thursday, January 19 at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 20000 County Road 10, Corcoran, MN at 11:00 AM with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Father John Gallus will be the Celebrant.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 18 at the Rockford High School Community Center from 4:00 – 8:00 PM. The Prayer service will be held at 8:00 PM.
Interment will be held at St. Jeanne de Chantel Cemetery, Corcoran.
Casketbearers will be Noah Patnode, Andrew Patnode, Tyler Hickle, Brian Harberts, Eric Smith and Jake Hartkopf.

Bradley Daniel Skafte, age 20, of Buffalo. He was born on March 20, 1991 the son of Daniel & Nancy (Bermel) Skafte. He grew up and attended school in Rockford, MN. He was attending UMD studying for an engineering degree. Bradley was active in sports while in school playing basketball & football. He also loved to fish and spent many hours on the Lake with his friends. He sometimes actually caught a fish too! Survivors include his parents; a sister: Rikki; a brother: Mitch; grandparents: Delvina Bermel and Barton & Jancie Skafte; girlfriend: Brandy; best friend: Josh; roommates: A.J. and Bryant; many aunts, uncles, cousins and many, many friends. Preceded in death by his grandfather: Edward Bermel and by four uncles. Brad was a great son, brother and friend. He will be greatly missed by all! Mass of Christian Burial Thursday 3:00 P.M. DELANO, MN - The Delano School District is seeking applications for an unexpired term on the school board through appointment by the school board. The person appointed will serve until Dec. 31, 2012. The seat will be on the ballot at the Nov. 6, 2012 election and it will be for a two-year term. This is the remainder of Erika Kluge Frake’s term. She resigned at the Jan. 5 organizational meeting of the school board. Applications must be filed by noon Friday, Feb. 3 at the school district office.
