Fourth of July events begin Wednesday

The Fourth of July events for Wednesday, July 1

-5-10 p.m. GoldStar Amusement Carnival armband day, unlimited rides for $22.

-6 p.m. Kiddie parade- Lineup at 6 p.m at the Delano City Hall, parade begins at 6:30 p.m.

-7-10 p.m.- Entertainment tent with the band Deep Fried Tweeters.

7:30 p.m.- Delano A’s vs. Plato Blue Jays

Kiddie parade Wednesday

There will be a kiddie parade on Wednesday, July 1 at 6:30 p.m.

Lineup is at 6 p.m. at the Delano City Hall. Prizes will be awarded for best costume in four themes; patriotic, sports, cartoons and miscellaneous.

Elementary playground closed beginning July 6

Playground Remodel Project

Summer 2009

The playgrounds at the Elementary School will be undergoing remodeling projects this summer, beginning on July 6th.  The main apparatus on each playground will be removed and replaced with a new piece of equipment.  A climbing rock will also be added to the north playground.

Both playgrounds will be closed during this time.  They should reopen in early August.  We apologize for the inconvenience, but we think you will enjoy the new and improved play areas!

Delano city council to discuss Highway 12 construction and more at special workshop

DELANO, MN – At a special workshop for the the City of Delano Tuesday, June 30 at 6 p.m., council members and the economic development authority will discuss several projects, including Highway 12 construction.

Woodland Hill Winery July 4 event

Jean Morgan Memorial Golf Tournament July 20

Jean Morgan Memorial Golf Tourney
The Jean Morgan Memorial Golf Tournament will be Monday July 20, at the Monticello Country Club and will benefit the Delano Relay for Life, along with the fight against cancer. The shotgun start will be at 1 p.m. $75 per golfer or $300 per team pays for golf, cart, range balls, and lunch. For more information email Rex at rmorgan@ccimn.com.
