It may not feel like spring yet, but several area townships have spring elections and annual meetings, all set for Tuesday, March 9.
All townships, including those that do not have elections this year, have set annual meetings.
In case of inclement weather, the meetings and elections may be postponed until Tuesday, March 16.
Franklin Township
Franklin Township’s annual election is set for Tuesday, March 9, with polling hours set from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. One three-year supervisor position, presently held by Mike Barfknecht, is up for election. Barfknecht is the only one to file for the position.
Immediately following the closing of the polls, the township’s annual meeting will begin at 8:15 p.m.
Both the election and meeting will take place at the Franklin Township Hall, located at 8735 Wright County Road 16 SE, south of Delano.
In the event of inclement weather, the meeting and election may be postponed until Tuesday, March 16.
Hollywood Township
The annual meeting for Hollywood Township is set for 7:30 p.m. at the Hollywood Township hall.
Woodland Township
Polls are open for the Woodland Township election from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Ken Pawelk re-filed for the open supervisor position, and Gloria Janikula re-filed for clerk position.
The annual meeting starts at 8:05 p.m. at the Woodland Township hall.
Marysville Township
Marysville Township’s election will be at the Marysville Township hall.
The polling hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the annual meeting will begin at 8:05 p.m.
Dick Sawatzke has re-filed for the open supervisor position.
