Delano volleyball hosting Totino-Grace Tuesday in section semifinals

DELANO — Delano volleyball fans have one more opportunity to see the Tigers play at home in the Tiger Activity Center. That night is Tuesday, when Delano hosts Totino-Grace in the semifinal round of the Section 5AA tournament.

The Tigers are the No. 2 seed. The Eagles are the No. 3 seed.

The other semifinal match has No. 1 Watertown-Mayer hosting No. 4 Mound-Westonka Tuesday night.

The winner of Tuesday’s meet advances on to the section championship match Thursday, Nov. 2, at the Academy of Holy Angels.

Delano played itself into the semifinal round with a 3-0 win over No. 7 St. Anthony Village Oct. 27 at the Tiger Activity Center. The Tigers opened the playoffs with a 3-0 win over No. 15 International School.

Totino-Grace defeated No. 6 Rockford 3-0 in the semifinals. In the first round, the Eagles defeated No. 14 Blake in three sets.
