DELANO, MN – Two sixth grade classes at Delano Middle School recently raised $2,500 to fund reconstructive surgery for five children in India.
This morning, the students had the opportunity to speak with one of the children and his family through a live simulcast.
The sixth graders were able to see the child before and after his cleft lip surgery.
The money for the surgery was raised on behalf of Smile Network, a Minnesota-based nonprofit organization that provides life-altering, reconstructive surgeries to impoverished children and young adults in developing countries.
