Delano Math Team dominates

The Delano Math Team placed first in an eight-team meet at Shakopee Dec. 14.
The Tigers earned the highest score in all four individual events, as well as the team event; scoring 33 points more than the second place team.
Emily Hemingway led all scorers with a perfect score of 14. Austin Meyer was second with 11 points, followed by Grant Anderson, Sandra Arnold, Conner Dykstra, Brooke Jaunich, Dirk Meyer, Zach Muckenhirn, James Redinger, Eric Rieder, and Josh Stevens with 10 points each.
Lauren Bersie and Amelia Lax earned 9 points apiece, while Kaitlin Denison, Kelsey Holm, Joe Janas, Cara Sandlass, Shelby Streachek, and Dustin Ziegelman contributed 8 points each. The Tigers, with 65 participants, have placed first in all three of their meets so far this season. The next meet for Delano is Monday, Jan. 11.
School scores were: Delano, 88; Holy Family, 55; International School of Minnesota, 44; Northfield, 44; Lakeville South, 30; Shakopee, 29; Lakeville North, 16; Waconia, 13.
