Delano man injured in Rockford Township crash

ROCKFORD TOWNSHIP, MN – A Delano man was injured Monday evening when the vehicle he was driving was rear-ended and pushed into oncoming traffic in Rockford Township.

According to the Minnesota State Patrol, a 2008 Ford Taurus driven by Michael Knolls, 56, of Delano, was stopped on westbound Highway 55 waiting to turn west onto 37th Street when it was rear-ended by a 2001 Chevrolet Blazer driven by Richard Felker, 44, of Buffalo.

The Blazer pushed the Taurus into oncoming traffic, causing it to strike an eastbound 2014 Ford Edge driven by Gwendolyn Mangan, 53, of Rockford.

Knolls suffered non-critical injuries and was transported to Buffalo Hospital.

Felker and Mangan were not injured. A 15-year-old passenger in Mangan’s vehicle was also not injured.

All individuals were wearing their seat belts at the time of the crash.

The road conditions were dry at the time and alcohol was not a factor, according to the State Patrol.

The Wright County Sheriff’s Office assisted at the scene.
