The Delano Public Library is offering the program, Genealogy 101: The Basics, for adults Saturday, Nov. 7 from 10:30 a.m. to noon.
For those interested in finding information about their ancestors, this class is a good place to start.
The program will be presented by MaryAnn Christianson, a librarian and avid amateur genealogical researcher. She is a member of the Minnesota Historical Society and the Minnesota Genealogical Society.
She will provide guidance on using basic sources such as the US Census, county records, web sites, land records, and more.
Attendance is limited to 15, and preregistration is required.
