DELANO, MN – Flooding could be on the way, with a 35 percent chance that the Crow River could exceed 19.95 feet, which was reached in 2001 at Delano, according to the Shakopee Valley News.
According to the National Weather Service, the southwest part of Delano begins to experience flooding when water levels reach 18.4 feet. At 25 feet, water begins to flow over the dike on the west side of town. In 1965, the Crow River reached a water level of 23.25 feet.
