Country festival planned Sunday
The parish of St. Mary of Czestochowa Catholic Church will be hosting
its 26th annual Country Festival Sunday, July 20 at the church,
located at 1867 95th Street SE in Delano.
Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. in the church, and a meal will be served
from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. in the air conditioned dining hall or
outside at picnic tables. Take-outs will be available at a
drive-through window.
The dinner will feature pork chops, roast beef, corn-on-the-cob, baked
potato, buns, coleslaw, poppy seed kuchen, bars, applesauce, milk, and
coffee.
The cost of the meal is $9 for those aged 12 through adult, $6 for
children aged six through 11, and free for children under age five.
The event will include live music, games for children and adults,
raffles, country store, cake walk, and beverages.
The festival will conclude with a drawing at 3:30 p.m.
