WRIGHT COUNTY, MN – A room packed full of officers were on hand to express appreciation to lead clerk supervisor Diane Lange, who will retire today (Friday) after 41 years serving Wright County.
The officers, along with Wright County Sheriff Gary Miller and former sheriff Don Hozempa, shared a recognition ceremony for Lange during the county board meeting Tuesday.
Lange is retiring today (Friday) after nearly four decades in the sheriff’s department. She worked with three sheriffs during her long career with the county, starting part-time in 1970, and changing to full-time in 1981. “She is the classiest person I have ever known,” Hozempa commented.
“It’s been a wonderful career,” Lange said. She plans to spend her time traveling, camping with her children and grandchildren, and volunteering at the children’s school in the fall.
