Slow but steady progress continues on the second phase of Highway 12 construction north of the railroad tracks and south of Bridge Avenue. The contractor is focusing in on utility work– replacing sanitary sewer, water mains, and storm sewer. Weather and other conditions have slowed crews about three days behind the anticipated schedule.
Bridge Avenue will likely experience local traffic disruptions Thursday, July 30 through Friday, July 31 for the first portion of utility work on that section of the project. The street will reopen to local traffic over the weekend and is anticipated to experience further interruptions again Monday, August 3 through Wednesday, August 5 for the remaining utility upgrades. During this portion of the project, it is expected that local traffic will have limited access to Bridge Avenue between Highway 12 and River Street North. Through this entire construction process, Delano is dedicated to remaining OPEN for Business.
