The American Red Cross bloodmobile will be in the area this month, and encourages everyone eligible to give blood.
The bloodmobile will be in Montrose at the Community Center, located at Center Avenue and Second Street, Thursday, Feb. 18 from 12:30 to 6:30 p.m.; and in Rockford at Our Fathers Lutheran Church, located at 3903 Gilbert Avenue SE, Friday, Feb. 19 from 1 to 7 p.m.
A blood donor card or driver’s license, or two other forms of identification, are required at check-in.
Individuals who are 17 years of age, weigh at least 110 pounds, and are in generally good health may be eligible to donate blood.
While all blood types are needed, type O negative blood is especially needed.
