Submissions for this year’s Veterans’ Day publication are due Tuesday, Oct. 28.
Information published last year will be run this year. For any new information, a form is available in this week’s paper or at any of our offices.

Deadline is Tuesday to pre-register by mail
For residents who recently moved, voter registration can be made by
mail ahead of time through Tuesday, Oct. 14, or may be done election
day by bringing a current utility bill dated within 30 days of the
election, along with a picture ID, in order to establish residency.
To pre-register before Oct. 14, residents must send a request to the
county auditor in their respective county or do so online at the
Minnesota Secretary of State’s office at www.sos.state.mn.us.

take place Thursday, Oct. 16 at noon at Calbrandt, with catering by
Edie Mae’s, to observe Minnesota Manufacturing Week.

Mortgage seminar Oct. 15 via telephone
The Minnesota Home Ownership Center will host a telephone seminar
Wednesday, Oct. 15 from 7 to 8 p.m.
Those interested may call 888-886-6603, and listen to the radio-format
conversation.
Topics covered will include options for “work out” with a lender,
benefits of speaking with a mortgage support advisor, and other
information regarding mortgages.

Delano Area Chamber of Commerce sponsoring four forums

Local political forums scheduled
The Delano Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring four forums will
take place featuring local candidates for government offices.
The first set will be Thursday, Oct. 16 and feature the Wright County
Commissioner Candidates in the third district from 6 to 7 p.m., and
the Delano School Board candidates from 7:15 to 8:15 p.m.
The second set will take place Thursday, Oct. 23 and will feature the
Delano City Council candidates from 6 to 7 p.m. and the local House of
Representatives candidates from 7:45 to 8:45 p.m.
All forums will take place at the Delano City Hall.

Tiger Activity Center’s senior health day

Tiger Activity Center’s senior health day Thurs.
The Tiger Activity Center’s senior health day is set to take place
Thursday, Oct. 16 from 10 a.m. to noon.
Seniors can come visit the TAC, ride an elliptical, or walk on the
track. There will also be a “poker walk” with door prizes and a chance
to win a TAC pass. Coffee and apple doughnuts will be served.
Transportation can be arranged to the TAC by calling the Delano Senior
Center at (763) 972-0574.
