DELANO, MN - The second-annual old-fashioned edition of the Delano Herald Journal was published today. The different look to today’s Delano Herald Journal coincides with the upcoming Old-Fashioned Christmas in downtown Delano event. The paper is designed with an “old-fashioned” appearance of how newspapers looked many years ago. For example, one will notice fewer photos, a lot of text, and columns that flow the entire length of a page, then back to the top, making it somewhat more challenging to read than one is accustomed to.
Some advertising in this edition also appears in a classic format, while some advertisers chose to maintain a modern look. A special subscription offer of $29.95 for new or renewed subscriptions can also be found inside.
The staff of the Delano Herald Journal hopes you enjoy this special edition, and that this is something we can continue turning into an annual holiday tradition in Delano. Pick up your copy at the following newsstand locations: Quik Shop, Flippin’ Bills, Coborn’s, Loopy’s Dollar Store, CVS Pharmacy, Holiday Superstation, coin box by post office (all in Delano), and Olson’s in Maple Plain, Koch’s Korner in Loretto, Montrose Stop in Montrose, and the Stop-N-Go and Watertown Pharmacy in Watertown.
