Love INC annual meeting is Jan. 26

Love In the Name of Christ-Heartland (Love INC) will conduct its annual meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 26 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delano (401 N. River Street).
“2009 statistics show a doubling of service requests every quarter throughout the year,” said Executive Director Terri Harris. “We faced the same financial challenge as other nonprofits. But God steadily blessed the ministry with gifts of time, resources and money, allowing us to meet over 7,500 individual needs this year.” Over $0.84 of every dollar directly serves neighbors in need.
Harris encourages members of Love INC’s 20 affiliate congregations and community supporters to attend the Jan. 26 meeting. “Our 2010 goals are faith-based and forward-thinking,” she says. Next year the ministry will launch a mentoring program to help neighbors break their current barriers and gain life skills for a sound future.
