Delano Elementary School is hosting a fine arts night on April 23 featuring, crafts, paintings, sculptures, drawings, photography and mixed media.
Students in Kindergarten through fourth grade can bring their artwork to school on April 20, 21, and 22. Art will be judges and the Best of Show artwork be displayed at the Delano Public Library. All participants will receive an art show ribbon. There is a limit of two pieces of artwork per student.

Visit Three Crows Coffee House in Delano on Wednesday, April 22 at 7p.m. for wine and a Riedel wine glass seminar. This is a rare opportunity to participate in a guided seminar about the merits of Riedel stemware with Riedel’s own Sean Petrie. $25 ticket includes wine and a set of 4 Riedel Flow glasses.

Spring Morning Stories
The Delano Public Library is offering a series of Morning Stories Preschool Storytimes for children ages 3-5. Preschool Storytimes will take place on Tuesdays, 10:30 – 11:00 a.m., April 21 & 28, and May 5 & 12. They offer stories, songs, rhymes and fun for everyone. They will be presented by Joan Zimmerman. The attendance limit is 25 and preregistration is required.

Library Book Sale
The Delano Library Book Sale will take place Thursday, April 16, 1 – 8 p.m., and Friday, April 17, 1-6 p.m. Books will be available for all ages of reader. Most paperbacks will be on sale for 25 cents and most hardbacks for 50 cents. The Book Sale is sponsored by the Delano Friends of the Library and proceeds will benefit library activities. Matching funds will be provided by Thrivent Financial for Lutherans Chapter 30106.
The Wright County American Dairy Association is seeking candidates
The Wright County American Dairy Association is Seeking Candidates for its 2009 Dairy Princess and Ambassador Programs. The eligibility requirements are as follows:
A Wright County Dairy Princess must be a High School Graduate and not yet 24 years old by July 1, 2009. A GED is acceptable. A Wright County Dairy Ambassador must be enrolled in either the tenth or eleventh grade in School. In both programs you or your parents or guardians must be actively engaged in the production of milk for sale to a licensed plant at some time during the current year (2009).Your farm must participate in the MN dairy promotion checkoff. You still qualify if a brother or sister has taken over the farm. You also qualify if you, your parents or guardians are employed on a dairy farm in a dairy-related capacity.
