The Salvation Army is struggling to find enough volunteers to ring the bells at their red kettles in Wright County, as well as locations throughout the state, reported KRWC Radio. Spokeswoman Annette Bauer says the organization expected a decrease in donations, but they didn’t foresee such a drop in the number of volunteers. Bauer says the bell ringers are a critical part of the annual donations to the Salvation Army. Bauer says with a bell ringer the average kettle typically makes 30 dollars an hour.
