Wright County Commissioner Jack Russek reclaimed his third district seat over opponent Matt Walker in Tuesday’s election, receiving 5,193 votes to Walker’s 4,406. There were also 44 write-in votes cast in this race.
State Representative Tom Emmer also reclaimed his seat over opponent Chris Brazelton in the election, receiving 17,455 votes to Brazelton’s 11,194.

There were also 104 write-in votes. Johnson was appointed to fill the remainder of the term vacated by Lorrie Mulholland, who recently resigned. Johnson was administered the oath of office at the last school board meeting.
Delano City Clerk Marlene Kittock is estimating local election results (Delano City Council and Delano School Board) will be available at approximately 10 p.m. this evening. Polls close at 8 p.m. Check back at this site for updates as they become available.
The Delano Royalty Organization and the Delano High School Band will be hosting an omelet breakfast Sunday, Nov. 9 at the Delano American Legion. The breakfast will be served from 8:30 to noon, and the cost is $7 for adults and $4 for children ages 5-10; children under 4 years old eat for free.
Rivertown Boutique is set for Saturday, Nov. 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Delano American Legion. New products from local representatives, crafters, and artists will be featured.
Delano Public Schools will host its annual Veterans Day observance Tuesday, Nov. 11 in the Delano High School Tiger Activities Center at 10 a.m. This program is open to the public.
The purpose of the Veterans Day program is to recognize all veterans and to teach our middle school and high school students the purpose of Veterans Day.
This year’s program will be somewhat unique as the veterans who served between Sept. 2, 1945 and Dec. 26, 1991, will be recognized.
