A total solar eclipse — the first in nearly two and a half years — should be visible Friday, Aug. 1 along a narrow track that will start over the Northwest Passage of Canada spanning a long path toward China. On that date, the sun will be obscured to people who live over a small slice of northeastern North America, as well as several other continents, says skywatching columnist Joe Rao of Yahoo News.

Gas station clerks in particular are being asked by the Buffalo Police to help solve a miniature mystery of who is responsible for stealing a red 2001 Chevy truck and 14′ silver trailer today (Tuesday, July 22) near downtown Buffalo — of which the truck, minus the trailer — was then found later this morning on the west end of Collinwood Lake in Meeker County, southwest of Cokato.
The truck was originally stolen with a low gas tank at 6:44 a.m., but was found with more gas in it at noon today, reported Liet. Bob Harri of Buffalo. The truck is a Chevrolet crew cab four door pickup truck; stolen complete with a 14 foot silver enclosed trailer, which has yet to be found. The trailer was new, although it contained items of nominal value. Continue reading ‘Buffalo Police (still) want to know who stole truck & trailer’
