Egg hunt at St. Peter and Paul Saturday

The annual Catholic Aid Easter Egg Hunt will be at St. Peter and Paul Church grounds Saturday, March 15 at 1 p.m. sharp.
Ages 0-12 can participate, door prizes for all ages, take pictures with the Easter Bunny.
Bring a food shelf item to help out the local food shelf.

Delano Elementary School kindergarten round-up

Delano Elementary School is inviting children who will be five years old by Sept. 1, 2008, to come with their parents to an evening of kindergarten fun at the Delano Elementary School Thursday, March 13, or Tuesday, March 18.
Children with last names beginning with A through K should come Thursday, March 13, and children with last names that begin with L through Z should come Tuesday, March 18.
Packets of registration information have been mailed to the 2008-09 kindergarteners.

Easter Bunny coming to the State Bank of Delano Thursday

State Bank of Delano expects a visit with the Easter Bunny Thursday, March 13 from 4 to 6 p.m.
Real bunnies along with the Easter Bunny will be in the bank lobby. Bring your cameras for this great photo oppurtunity. Each child will recive a special Easter treat.

Township election, annual meeting Tuesday

Franklin Township residents will go to the polls Tuesday, March 11 for the annual township election.
Incumbent Bill McMullen is the only person who filed for the three-year supervisor position that will be on the ballot.
Polls will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., and will be at the Franklin Township Hall located south of Delano on Wright County Road 16. In the event of inclement weather, the township’s election and annual meeting will take place Tuesday, March 18.
After the polls close, the annual township meeting will take place at 8:15 p.m.

The second meeting of the Delano Area Chamber of Commerce’s Highway 12 task force will take place Wednesday, March 12 at 9 a.m. at the State Bank of Delano’s lower level meeting room.

Last call for candidates of Wright Co. dairy royalty

The Wright County American Dairy Association is seeking candidates for its
2008 dairy ambassador program. The eligibility requirements are as follows:
A Wright County Dairy Ambassador must be enrolled in either the ninth, 10th
or 11th grade in school. Applicant, parents or guardians must be actively
engaged in the production of milk for sale to a licensed plant at some time
during the current year (2008). Farm must participate in the MN dairy
promotion checkoff. You still qualify if a brother or sister has taken over
the farm. You also qualify if you, your parents or guardians are employed
on a dairy farm in a dairy-related capacity.
