Ogle to host ‘Showcase MN’ again

Former Miss Minnesota Tiffany Ogle of Waverly is once again hosting “Showcase Minnesota” on KARE 11 today (Thursday) at 10 a.m. If you miss it, check it out later in the day online at www.showcaseminnesota.com where you can see the clips.
“I’ll be interviewing Tim Scott, who is the Macy’s executive corporate chef, The Ronn Easton Band, and Lynn Becker, Lifestyle expert, if you check for the links later from the show,” she said. She will also be hosting at the end of the month Thursday and Friday March 27 and 28.

She keeps herself busy with other ventures as well. “If you make it out to the auto show, I’ll be a live host there for the Dodge Demon. I’ve heard she’s a spicy car! That’s Thursday through Sunday this weekend (March 13-16).

Wright Co. Fair to be “Great in ‘08″

New and exciting things await at this year’s Wright County Fair, Wednesday, July 23 through Sunday, July 27 in Howard Lake. The fair board is busy planning this year’s events. Food For Friends to give away semi full of food March 14

Love INC- Heartland with their affiliated 19 area churches along with help from, Delano Helping Hands food shelf and Second Harvest will be giving away a semi full of food. The event will take place at the Delano Assembly of God Church 9090 Hwy. 12 East, Delano on Friday, March 14 from 5-7 p.m.
Food will be dispersed on a first come first serve basis with sign up and registration beginning no earlier than 4 p.m. Your name and town you live in is all that will be required and it is asked that you bring a bag or box to collect the food.
You can send a friend to pick up your items, but there is no delivery.
The first 300 families will be served.

Jaycee Supershots Saturday morning

The Delano Jaycees are hosting Supershot Competition Saturday, March 15, at the Delano High School gymnasium at 10 a.m. The shooting competition is open to girls and boys in grades 4-9. No pre-registration is required – simply show up at the gym Saturday morning.
Winners will advance to the State Supershots Sunday, April 8 at the Target Center, with a select group of winners competing at half time of the Timberwolves-Grizzlies game.

Holy Week concert at St. Peter’s Sunday

Delano Catholic community members will perform vocal and instrumental selections by various classical composers Sunday, March 16, beginning at 7 p.m., St. Peter’s Church, Delano.
Musicians include Holli Arthur, Toni Diem, Joseph Henry, Meagan and Mike Phillips, Michael Schaefer, Becca Shaffner, Tatyana Thulien, and Sara Triplett.
A reception will follow this free concert.

French toast at St. Peter’s Sunday

A french toast and sausage breakfast is planned at St. Peter’s Church dining hall Sunday March 16,  from 8:30 to noon, sponsored by the Catholic Order of Foresters. Matching fund activity drawings during breakfast.
