Delano has a progressive public school system dedicated to providing excellent educational services to children, their parents, and the community.

The 106-acre school campus, on the northeast side of Delano, includes an elementary school, pre-kindergarten through grade four; a middle school, grades five through eight; and a high school, grades nine through 12. Attendance is approximately 2,230 students.

A recently completed construction project provides extra classrooms in each building, and the addition of a 50,000-square-foot activity center.

In addition, district facilities include a swimming pool, auditorium, all-weather track, and seven computer labs. The school curriculum is outstanding, with a wide range of studies and activities for students of all interests and skills.

Delano public schools have a tradition of high academic and extracurricular achievement, and an excellent professional staff, a commitment to using modern technology, and a size that allows a personal touch with students and parents. As a result, Delano has exceeded state graduation standards and state test scores for many years, and this leadership is expected to continue.
