The location of Delano is a great benefit to its residents. While conveniently located on the western fringe of the metro area, Delano strives to maintain its home town flavor.

Delano, with its strong economic base, takes pride in having one of the lowest tax rates in Wright County. With a strong fund balance, the city is able to improve its services to its residents while maintaining its low tax rate.

Delano takes an aggressive approach in developing new and current city businesses. Through its Economic Development Authority, and in conjunction with the Delano Chamber of Commerce and the Wright County Economic Development Partnership, there are numerous public and private resources available to assist new and existing businesses in the community. As a result, Delano is continually creating new jobs and a stronger tax base.

Delano’s greatest asset, though, is its people; a blend of young and old, working and living together. With the support of the numerous churches, civic organizations, and athletic groups, the citizens of Delano truly make our community a great place to live.
